KUALA LUMPUR: The use of MyDigital ID is expanded to state-level government systems as usage of the national digital identification platform grows to 12 million users, says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
The Deputy Prime Minister said MyDigital ID has been integrated into at least 19 state government online applications, with another 28 still in the development phase.
“MyDigital ID’s system architecture will enable government agencies to easily and quickly implement integration without requiring new hardware or additional software procurement,” he said in a parliamentary written reply dated Tuesday (June 7).
Ahmad Zahid said the MyDigital ID’s statewide integration status is a standing agenda of the National Digital Economy and Fourth Industrial Revolution Council.
Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Rural and Regional Development Minister, said at least 12 million Malaysians have registered for MyDigital ID as of the end of June, with 16 million registrations recorded so far, including renewal and cancellation transactions.
He added that a total of 114 government online services have been integrated with MyDigital ID, as of June 25, including MyJPJ, MyPTPTN, SPA9, and MyBayar PDRM.
Ahmad Zahid was responding to Wong Shu Qi (PH-Kluang) who wanted to know the current number of Malaysians registered for MyDigital ID so far as well as the government’s efforts to integrate the system into government systems and platforms.
