SEREMBAN: Businessman Albert Tei (pic) wants the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to probe Negri Sembilan caretaker Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun over an alleged RM180,000 allocation to an assemblyman a day before the state assembly was dissolved.
He also said the MACC has three days to open an investigation paper on the alleged case, failing which he would organise a protest gathering outside its state office here.
"A letter dated June 4 and a bank statement have gone viral where Aminuddin allegedly gave the allocation to the service centre of Bukit Kepayang assemblyman Nicole Tan to organise programmes for the people and other activities in the constituency from July to September.
"But since the state legislative assembly was dissolved the next day, Tan is no longer considered Bukit Kepayang wakil rakyat or state exco.
"So, how can she use the government funds since the assembly has been dissolved?" he asked when met at the state MACC office here on Friday (July 3) when he arrived to lodge a report.
He claimed that the timing of the disbursement raises serious questions regarding the misuse of state resources.
Tei also questioned why the funds were given to Tan only a day before the assembly was dissolved.
He said that the MACC should also investigate Tan.
