KUALA LUMPUR: The Registrar of Societies' (RoS) registration status of Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) is not an issue as the party merely underwent a name change process.
Gerakan Reset founder Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said this was because his faction had taken over an existing registered party.
"I took over a party, we only changed the name,” he told Sinar Harian when met by reporters after attending the Opposition Members of Parliament meeting at the PAS Headquarters here on Wednesday (June 17).
Hamzah, who is also the founder of Wawasan, informed that the meeting discussed the coalition's preparations to face the Johor and Negri Sembilan state elections.
"As we know, a decision has already been made in Johor, so we want to determine how to ensure the victory of our candidates, and the same goes for Negri Sembilan.
"Therefore, all discussions required our friends, especially MPs, to go down to the ground and help our candidates, which is what we discussed," he said.
Earlier, Hamzah, along with 16 other MPs from Gerakan Reset Malaysia, were among those present at the meeting with PAS MPs, which lasted for nearly two hours.
