STPM 2025 records historic high national CGPA of 2.88

SELAYANG: The National cumulative grade point average (CGPA) for the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) 2025 exam is 2.88, the highest in the examination's history.

Malaysian Examinations Council chairman Prof Datuk Dr Md Amin Md Taff said this is an improvement compared to 2024 when the CGPA was 2.85.

"The National CGPA this year is the highest and is significant considering the candidates' achievement has increased by 12.06% (0.31 points) compared to 2.57 in 2013," he said when announcing the results analysis ON THURSDAY (JUNE 18) at the council's office.

He said 1,336 candidates (3.5%) scored a perfect CGPA of 4.00, also an increase from last year when there were 1,266 candidates.

He also said 60 candidates got 5As while 1,285 got 4As for the examinations - both an increase from the previous year.

A total of 38,144 candidates sat for all three semesters' exams for STPM 2025.
