A BAKER battling breast cancer fulfilled her dream of taking her first flight with her six-year-old son on a private aircraft, thanks to the help of a local influencer, reported Sin Chew Daily.
Wong Tsae Ling, 43, started selling cakes to pay for her medical bills.
Wong mentioned that she wanted to capture more photos with her young son while she still had the strength to do so.
After learning of her wish, online influencer Vain Liew took the duo on a private plane ride for a photo shoot.
“I felt a kind of happiness at that moment which I hadn’t experienced in a long time,” Wong said.
Wong added that she hopes to be able to see more places in the future with her family by her side.
> Durian lovers are in for a treat as a bumper harvest this season has resulted in prices for the king of fruits falling to their lowest levels in recent years, reported China Press.
Local durian sellers reported that a glut in the market has led to prices dropping by between 20% and 30% compared with last year.
Durian King 668 owner Datuk Peter Lai from Junjung, Kedah, said the popular Black Thorn durian is currently selling for between RM13 and RM55 at his stall, depending on its size.
Similarly, prices of other premium durian varieties, such as Musang King, have also plummeted.
