Over 200 solar LED street lights coming to Tapah over next three years, says Saravanan

IPOH: The Tapah parliamentary constituency will see the installation of 200 solar LED street lights in phases over the next three years.

Tapah MP Datuk Seri M. Saravanan said the project was fully funded by his parliamentary allocation.

He said the initiative would modernise the constituency’s infrastructure and promote the use of renewable energy.

“The first phase of the project will focus on accident-prone areas, particularly along the poorly lit stretch between Changkat Petai and Tapah Prison.

“A coordination meeting involving the Chief Assistant District Officer (Rural Development) of Batang Padang and the district engineer has been convened,” he said in a statement on Thursday (June 11).

Saravanan is also MIC’s deputy president.
