June 22 meeting 'cancelled', says Johor Speaker after state assembly dissolved


JOHOR BARU: A one-day meeting of the Johor state legislative assembly scheduled for June 22 has been cancelled following the dissolution of the state assembly on Monday (June 1).

Johor Speaker Datuk Mohd Puad Zarkashi confirmed the matter when contacted on Tuesday (June 2).

"Cancelled," he said briefly.

On May 29, several assemblymen said they had received notices informing them of the state assembly sitting scheduled for June 22.

Among them were Bukit Kepong assemblyman Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal, Johor Jaya assemblyman Liow Cai Tung and Sri Medan assemblyman Datuk Zulkurnain Kamisan.
