MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in seven states until 9pm (May 28)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 9pm on Thursday (May 28).

In a statement at 6.20pm on Thursday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Kelantan (Pasir Mas, Tanah Merah and Machang); Terengganu (Besut, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin) and Johor (Mersing)

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak, affecting Kuching, Samarahan (Samarahan and Asajaya), Mukah (Mukah), Kapit (Kapit), Bintulu (Tatau) and Limbang; and Sabah, affecting Sandakan (Telupid and Kinabatangan).
