Missing teen hiker found dead


HULU SELANGOR: A teenager who was believed to have lost her way while hiking at Bukit Changkat Asa here five days ago was found dead by rescuers. 

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the body of Nur Izzati Humaira Azizul, 19, was found off the hiking trail by a search and rescue (SAR) team at 11.59am ­yesterday.

“The victim’s body was found about 500m from the last location where she was seen and 1km from the incident control post.

“It took the team about 20 minutes to bring the body to the control post using a stretcher,” he said, Bernama reported.
