Zul Ariffin sorry for ‘bad habit’


ACTOR Zul Ariffin has apologised after a recent video showing him smoking sparked criticism from members of the public.

Zul, whose full name is Zulkifli Ariffin, 40, admitted smoking was a bad habit that he did not wish to promote, especially as many people were aware of its harmful effects on health, Kosmo! reported.

“What happened at the time was simply a bad habit that I never intended to encourage or promote to the public.

“I would like to apologise to everyone who advised me after seeing the bad habit I displayed. It will not happen again,” he said.

The eldest sibling, Nur Alia Natasha Mohd Fauzi, 18, has since taken on the responsibility of caring for her four younger siblings – Nur Aleeya Balqis, 17, Muhammad Faris, 13, Muhamad Amin, 10, and Nur Eryna Imani, five.

According to Nur Alia, their mother, Siti Roziana Muda, 39, died on Oct 1 last year, due to lung complications and diabetes, while their father, Mohd Fauzi Mat Zain, 51, died of a heart attack on April 23 this year.

The siblings have reportedly been surviving on rice and boiled eggs once a day while depending on neighbours for help.

“I was receiving a monthly allowance of RM500 while attending a skills course and working at a homoeopathy and acupuncture centre. However, it recently shut down.”
