Club’s youth hub dream coming true

THE Gopeng Tamil Youth Bell Club’s quest to build a two-storey clubhouse with offices, counselling rooms, a digital library, a youth hub and other facilities has received a boost from Datuk A. Sivanesan, Makkal Osai reported.

The club, which has worked to uplift youths for 57 years, owns a piece of land with a vacant building but lacks proper infrastructure.

The ambitious plan aims to transform the building and surrounding compound into a vibrant youth-oriented facility at an estimated cost of RM500,000.

Sivanesan’s special functions officer, Muthusamy Uthrapathi, who spoke at a fundraising event organised by the club, announced a RM40,000 donation from the Sungkai assemblyman and state exco member.

Muthusamy praised the Bell Club for its work with youths and urged the community to pay closer attention to the state of Tamil schools nationwide.
