Rafizi hands over documents, video recordings to MACC in voluntary session

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has received documents and video recordings from Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli after a voluntary session on Thursday (May 14).

In a statement today, the commission’s senior investigations director Datuk Mohd Hafaz Nazar said the additional material was related to an ongoing investigation into alleged abuse of power and misconduct involving a RM1.1bil investment deal with Arm Holdings.

“Rafizi’s presence at the commission today was to hand over several printed documents as well as video recordings stored on a USB flash drive, which are said to be related to the company.

“The submission of these documents was made voluntarily, and it is intended to assist the investigation involving him,” he said.

Mohd Hafaz added that additional statements were recorded during the session, which ended at about 1.30pm.

Earlier on Thursday, the former minister told the media he had voluntarily submitted the evidence and believed it would be his last session with the commission.

When asked about the contents, Rafizi said it included media reports on the agreement.
