Stop making public attacks on one another, PN parties told

PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional has reminded leaders and members of its component parties to stop openly attacking one another through the media and other public platforms, amid fresh tensions within the coalition.

Perikatan secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan (pic) said any dissatisfaction among coalition parties should be channelled through internal mechanisms before being discussed collectively within the coalition.

"Perikatan reminds all leaders and members of its component parties not to make any inappropriate criticism recklessly against any other component party, whether through the media or any other channels.

"Any dissatisfaction should be conveyed through each party’s respective channels before being brought, discussed and decided through consensus within Perikatan," he said In a statement on Wednesday (May 13).

"All party matters will certainly be managed and handled internally in a more effective, wise and positive manner," he added.

The statement came a day after a PAS Youth leader launched a scathing attack against Bersatu over the ongoing disciplinary crackdown involving several of its leaders and elected representatives.
