Ranau fire victims receive aid from Sabah leaders


KOTA KINABALU: Sabah leaders and local residents are providing aid to 54 people from 11 families displaced by a Labour Day fire in Kampung Timbua, Ranau.

Deputy Chief Minister II Masidi Manjun extended assistance to the victims of the fire that razed a shophouse block, displacing 37 adults and 17 children under 12.

Gagasan Rakyat Ranau collected clothing, basic furniture, and food items for donation. The residents were also given cash and other necessities.

Masidi’s Special Officer, Shahrin Mujin, and Welfare Officer, Sujani Gipul, delivered the aid with support from Gagasan Rakyat’s Youth and Beliawanis wings.

The victims were housed at the Kampung Timbau mini hall.
