A ROUTINE roadblock near Tumpat, Kelantan, led to the seizure of 100 sheep and the arrest of a lorry driver after authorities found suspicious documents linked to the transport of the livestock, reported Harian Metro.
The operation was conducted by the General Operations Force (GOF) Battalion 9 under Ops Taring Wawasan a few days ago.
GOF Southeast Brigade commander SAC Ahmad Radzi Hussain said investigations found discrepancies in the paperwork given by the driver.
“We also seized a livestock transfer permit from the Veterinary Department, which we suspect to be counterfeit,” he said in a statement yesterday.
He said the value of the sheep and lorry seized was estimated at RM270,000.
SAC Ahmad Radzi said the driver was promised RM250 to transport the sheep to Johor.
> Singer Aishah has voiced disappointment over ticket sale disruptions for her upcoming Aishah 40 Chapters Of Love concert, describing the incident as sabotage, reported Kosmo!
The 61-year-old performer said that some of her fans had encountered serious issues with the ticketing platform, with many claiming that tickets appeared to be sold out despite being available.
“When I first found out, I cried as my fans waited for hours, only to see tickets marked as sold out when they were not,” she said during a recent press conference in Kuala Lumpur.
Aishah said that the glitch raised concerns over possible interference but stressed that her priority was resolving the confusion faced by her fans.
She added that organisers have since moved ticket sales to a new platform to ensure smoother transactions.
The concert is scheduled for July 4 at Megastar Arena and is meant to celebrate her 40-year journey in the music industry.
> The daily also reported that actress Ozlynn Waty has urged the public not to compare their lives to the seemingly perfect lifestyles often portrayed by influencers on social media.
The 45-year-old said her own posts, which frequently touch on household and family matters, are not intended to boast but rather to share her experiences.
“Everything I share on social media is the truth and my own way of life, not to show that I’m better than others.
“Like everyone else, I too face the same conflicts in my marriage and with my children,” she said in an interview.
Ozlynn, who is married to comedian Johan, also known as Mohd Yazid Lim Mohamad Aziz, added that the content she shares online should not be seen as a model for others to follow.
