Gombak Setia rep suspended two days after defying Selangor Speaker

SHAH ALAM: Opposition assemblyman Muhammad Hilman Idham (PN-Gombak Setia) was ordered to leave the Selangor State Assembly sitting and suspended for two days starting Tuesday (April 28) after defying Speaker Lau Weng San.

Lau issued the directive after Muhammad Hilman created a commotion and ignored his repeated instruction to sit down when the state public health and environment committee chairman Jamaliah Jamaludin was answering a question on the state's potential new revenue streams from renewable energy.

Lau subsequently ordered Muhammad Hilman to leave the chamber and imposed a two-day suspension effective immediately. - Bernama
