SEREMBAN: The three-day sitting of the Negri Sembilan legislative assembly, which was scheduled to begin on Monday (April 27), has been postponed.
State Speaker Datuk MK Ibrahim Abd Rahman said the new dates would be fixed after the state ruler, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, gave his consent.
"We will fix another date and send out notices later.
"So, next week's sitting will not be held," he said when met outside the state assembly hall after its official opening by Tuanku Muhriz.

When asked the reason for the postponement, MK Ibrahim said it was to ensure the smooth conduct of the three-day sitting.
"It is my hope that we are able to overcome the situation we are facing now before the assembly meets again," he said.
Although MK Ibrahim did not elaborate, he was believed to be referring to the current state of the royalty crisis.
