Two killed, two hurt in car-van crash in Kuala Kangsar


IPOH: Two women were killed and two other people were injured in an accident involving a car and a van in Kuala Kangsar.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (Operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the women, aged 67 and 69, died on the spot in the 2.35pm Friday (April 17) incident on Jalan Lama Hala Kati at Kampung Lubok Chapin.

"When we arrived, we also found a man, 29, and a woman in her 60s, trapped inside the van.

"They were rushed to the hospital in ambulances," he said in a statement.

Sabarodzi added that the bodies of the deceased were handed over to police for further action.
