MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in 12 states until 9pm (March 30)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in most states until 9pm on Monday (March 30).

In a statement at 5.15pm on Monday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perlis; Kedah (Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu); Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim); Kelantan (Jeli, Tanah Merah, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang); Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu and Dungun); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub and Jerantut); Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Petaling); Negeri Sembilan (Jempol); Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang and Kulai) and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur.

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak, affecting Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu (Kanowit), Kapit (Song), Miri (Telang Usan and Marudi) and Limbang; and well as Sabah, affecting the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort and Tambunan) and West Coast (Papar, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud).
