Student killed after car skids into divider on Karak Highway


GOMBAK: A 20-year-old woman was killed in a crash along the Karak Highway after her car skidded and slammed into a road divider.

Gombak deputy OCPD Supt Abang Kaderi Abang Wasli said police were alerted to the incident at KM25.2 at about 7.20pm on Sunday (March 29).

“Preliminary investigations found that the victim, a student of a public higher education institution, is believed to have lost control of the vehicle before it skidded and crashed into the divider on the right side of the highway,” he said in a statement on Monday (March 30).

He added that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
