KUALA LUMPUR: Zetrix AI Bhd and My E.G. Sdn Bhd will have their services as collection agents for the Road Transport Department (JPJ) suspended from Oct 5.
In a statement, JPJ said the suspension will take effect at 12.01am on Oct 5 and applies to both companies under the MYEG Group.
“This decision was made after taking into account compliance with the stipulated terms and conditions of the agreement, as well as the status of obligations yet to be fulfilled or settled by the company concerned,” it said.
Following the suspension, all JPJ services previously offered through MYEG Group channels will also be suspended from Oct 5.
JPJ assured the public that its services would continue as usual through official and alternative channels.
Motor vehicle licence, or road tax, renewals can be carried out through JPJ counters, the MyJPJ application, JPJ's public portal, JPJ kiosks, mobile counters, post offices and selected Puspakom services.
Driving licence renewals will remain available through JPJ counters, MyJPJ, the JPJ public portal, kiosks, mobile counters and post offices.
Applications for learner's driving licences, as well as checks and payments for summonses, can also be conducted through JPJ's official channels.
JPJ said bookings for the computerised theory test (KPP01) made through MYEG before Oct 5 would remain valid and could proceed as scheduled.
New bookings from Oct 5 onwards must be made through KPP test centres at driving institutes nationwide.
For non-Malaysians paying summonses at the Malaysia-Singapore border, JPJ mobile units will be available at the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex and Bangunan Sultan Iskandar in Johor.
JPJ advised the public to use its official channels to ensure transactions are carried out smoothly and securely.
