Masidi thanks Sabahans, calls for unity in Hari Raya message

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Deputy Chief Minister II Datuk Masidi Manjun has expressed appreciation to the people of the state for their contributions to its development, in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

In his festive message, he thanked those across all sectors, including the civil service, private sector and frontline workers, for their role in maintaining Sabah’s progress, peace and harmony.

“These efforts and commitments are in line with the Sabah Maju Jaya 2.0 agenda, which emphasises inclusive development, people’s wellbeing and sustainable economic growth for a better Sabah,” he said.

Masidi also called on the public to use the festive season as an opportunity to strengthen family and community ties, mend relationships and extend compassion to those in need.

He noted that Muslims, having completed the fasting month of Ramadan, should continue to uphold the values of patience, discipline and spiritual growth cultivated during the period.

“May the renewed faith and good values practised during Ramadan continue to guide us throughout the year,” he said.

He also expressed hope that Sabah would continue to prosper in peace and harmony.

“May we be protected and blessed, and may Sabah continue to grow, remain peaceful and shine.

“Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, maaf zahir dan batin,” he added.
