Car becomes family home after ex-convict loses job

A CAR became the “home” for five children, including a five-month-old baby, after the family lost their rented house recently, Sinar Harian reported.

The Negri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council (MAINS) shared on social media that the family had to spend several nights in the car after their father lost his job and was unable to continue paying the house rent.

According to MAINS, the man previously worked two jobs to support his family.

“This father is actually someone who worked hard. He had two jobs, driving a lorry during the day and helping at a burger stall at night.

“All of that for the sake of his young children, including a four-year-old autistic child,” a MAINS officer said.

He said the man lost his job after his employer discovered he was a former prisoner.

“A thing from the past came back to haunt the man.

“As soon as the employer found out he was an ex-convict, he lost his job and source of income. He was unable to pay the rent and the car became their shelter.

“Imagine a baby sleeping in a car for four nights during the month of Ramadan,” he added.

> A woman unexpectedly received encouragement from her husband after he saw her potential in the world of clowning, Kosmo! reported.

It not only brought additional income for her family, but also made her more confident when facing her audience.

The woman, known as Bunga, in her 30s, said she discovered her talent when completing balloon bouquet orders on a part-time basis from her customers.

She said she then started practising making various shapes from the balloons.

“My husband said he wanted me to have something I could continue to do when he was gone,” Bunga said.

“It would be a source of income for me and a backup plan in case anything happened to my permanent job.

“My husband has worked as a street musician since 2014 and became interested in the world of clowns after seeing a group perform on the street,” Bunga added.
