Rapid KL to deploy 85 buses to SIC for 2026 Malaysia GP

KUALA LUMPUR: Rapid KL will deploy 85 buses for a special shuttle service to the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) in conjunction with the 2026 PETRONAS Grand Prix (GP) of Malaysia from Oct 30 to Nov 1.

Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Syahrul Azmir Ahmad Zaki said the service aimed to meet the transport needs of motorsports fans by easing their journeys to the circuit.

He said tickets would go on sale from Thursday (Oct 22) at selected customer service counters and the Pasar Seni Bus Hub.

"Every year, motorsports fans gather in Sepang to experience the excitement of this world-class race firsthand. Rapid KL hopes this service will make their journeys to the circuit easier and more comfortable," he said in a statement on Monday.

Syahrul Azmir said the shuttle service would operate from three main locations, namely the Pasar Seni Bus Hub, the KLCC bus stop and the KLIA Terminal 2 Bus Hub.

A one-way ticket from Pasar Seni or the KLCC bus stop will cost RM20, or RM35 for a return ticket. The one-way fare from KLIA Terminal 2 is RM12.

Buses travelling to SIC from all three locations will operate from 7am to 1pm at 30-minute intervals, while return services from the circuit will run from 4pm to 7pm.

In collaboration with SIC, Rapid KL will also provide a free shuttle service around the circuit throughout the event to facilitate visitors' movement.

The public is advised to purchase tickets in advance to avoid long queues and waiting times. Further information is available on the official MyRapid website and through the MyRapid PULSE app. - Bernama
