Bersatu VP Ronald Kiandee suspended for two terms, refuses to appeal

PETALING JAYA: Bersatu Malaysia vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee has been suspended from the party as of Tuesday (March 10).

In a social media post, Ronald shared a notice from the party's Disciplinary Board, which suspended him for two party election terms.

In the same post, he said he would not appeal the decision.

The Beluran MP said the party should just sack him instead.

"If it’s true that I did wrong, why not just sack me?"

"I will not appeal. Just consider the appeal period to be over. Period," he said.

According to the notice signed by board chairman Datuk Mohd Radzi Manan, Ronald was said to have committed an offence under Clause 9.1.4 of the party's constitution.

He will be stripped of all posts and barred from making any statements in the party's name until his suspension ends.

He has also been given 14 days to appeal the decision.

Ronald said he organised the "Reset" programme and also attended, alongside ousted party deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in Bangkok and implied that those were the reasons disciplinary action was taken against him.
