Body of missing volunteer fireman found


IPOH: The body of the volunteer fireman who fell into a lake at Bandar Baru Lahat Mines during a training exercise has been found.

In a statement, Perak Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Sayani Saidon said the 25-year-old victim, identified as Cheng Ka-Jun, was found at 10.18pm on Monday (March 9).

"Firemen conducting a surface search found the body about 70m from where he fell in," she said.

The victim fell off a boat towards during a training exercise on Sunday (March 8).
