Tejas fighter jets suffer third crash

THE Indian-made HAL Tejas fighter jet is facing renewed scrutiny after a third crash in under two years, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Details of the latest incident, which occurred earlier this month, have only recently emerged, with the pilot reportedly ejecting to safety while the aircraft sustained damage.

The Indian Air Force is understood to have ordered fleetwide checks.

> Penang Hindu Endowments Board (PHEB) deputy chairman Dr RA Lingeshwaran said temples in Penang should not be used as tools to stoke racial sentiments, Makkal Osai reported.

“Any issue faced by temples in Penang will be handled by the PHEB and Indian leaders in Penang.”

He was commenting on a social media post concerning a temple at Hospital Bukit Mertajam, which has existed since before Merdeka.

He said clips by the TikToker were concerning due to their provocative nature.
