Almost perfect compliance

PETALING JAYA: A total of 642 out of 644 entities, or 99.7%, had submitted their feedback through the e-SelfAudit system as of last year, according to the 1/2026 Auditor-General’s Report.

Upon receiving the submissions, the National Audit Department conducted desk audit verification to confirm the accuracy of the information declared by the entities and the supporting documents uploaded into the system.

The report stated that 208 companies classified as wound-up, dissolved or no longer related to the government will be followed up in 2026 to determine their dissolution status, as well as the position of their assets, liabilities and any outstanding government loans.

It added that two companies – Equal Concept Sdn Bhd and Sharikat Jengka Sdn Bhd – had failed to submit feedback within the stipulated period.

Both companies were gazetted under the Audit Act 1957 as they had received loans from the government, the report explained.
