Skeletal remains of woman found in Mentakab drain


KUANTAN: A human skeleton, believed to be of a woman, has been found in an overgrown drain near the Damai Taha Flats in Mentakab, Temerloh.

Temerloh OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Nasyim Bahron said they were informed about the discovery at noon on Sunday (Feb 8).

"Initial investigations led to the discovery of a human skeleton, believed to be of a woman, based on the clothing found at the site.

"The remains have been sent to the Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital forensic department in Temerloh," he said in a statement on Monday (Feb 9).

Mohd Nasyim added that the case is being investigated as sudden death pending a full forensic report.

He urged anyone with information on the case to contact investigating officer Insp Mohd Razzi Ismail at 017-231 4245.
