MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms, heavy rain in six states until 7pm (Jan 31)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 7pm on Saturday (Jan 31).

In a statement at 3.20pm on Saturday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perak (Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar and Batang Padang); Pahang (Cameron Highlands); Selangor (Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak and Petaling); and Kuala Lumpur.

It also warned of bad weather in Sabah affecting areas in the Interior (Sipitang and Beaufort) and West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud); and Sarawak, affecting Kuching, Serian and Samarahan (Samarahan and Asajaya).
