Fuel prices Jan 29-Feb 4: Diesel up four sen in Peninsula, RON97, RON95 unchanged


KUALA LUMPUR: The retail price diesel will increase by four sen in Peninsular Malaysia from Jan 29 to Feb 4.

In a statement Wednesday (Jan 28), the Finance Ministry said the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will increase by four sen to RM2.92 per litre while prices in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan will remain at RM2.15 per litre during the same period.

It also said the retail price of unsubsidised RON95 would remain at RM2.54 per litre nationwide while the retail price of RON97 would remain at RM3.10 per litre.

The retail price of subsidised RON95 petrol under Budi Madani (Budi95) remains at RM1.99 per litre.

"The government will continue monitoring global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure people’s welfare remains intact,” the statement said.
