Kedah PKR reboots  party machinery

PETALING JAYA: Kedah PKR is setting its sights on a stronger and more dynamic party machinery, with plans to enhance organisational readiness through a proposed restructuring that blends experienced leaders with emerging new faces.

Kedah PKR leadership council communications director Tunku Nashrul Abaidah said the move is aimed at reinforcing the party’s strength while expanding its grassroots reach across the state.

He said the leadership council held its first meeting of the year yesterday to reassess the party’s direction at the state level in light of current and future political challenges.

“Beyond organisational readiness, the discussions also centred on strategic planning to reclaim parliamentary and state assembly seats in Kedah, with emphasis on strengthening election machinery, sharpening people-centric welfare agendas and adopting a mature, principled political approach anchored in the public interest,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Tunku Nashrul said the meeting also stressed the importance of more effectively communicating the achievements and initiatives of the government that directly benefit Kedah residents.

These include efforts in the economy, welfare, education, infrastructure and overall social well-being.
