Family claims body of CEO killed in Gua Musang car crash

GUA MUSANG: The family of Nik Razizi Nik Rahim, the chief executive officer (CEO) of a transport and fuel supply company who perished in a road accident on Tuesday (Jan 13), claimed his body from the hospital on Wednesday.

The remains of Nik Razizi, 55, were claimed at 11.45am following funeral prayers held at the Gua Musang Hospital Forensic Department compound.

The deceased's brother-in-law, Mukhriz Hassan, 48, said the burial would be held at Kampung Banggol, Pengkalan Chepa.

"The deceased frequently travelled to Kuala Lumpur for work but rarely went by car. Usually, he would take a flight there.

"We accept this as God's will. We have lost a brother who was very kind to all family members," he told reporters when met at the hospital here on Wednesday.

The post-mortem on Nik Razizi took nearly three hours and was completed at 11.30am.

Meanwhile, the post-mortem for another victim, Nik Azmi Nik Othman, 47, is expected to be completed on the same day.

In the 12.40pm incident on Tuesday at Kampung Paloh along the Gua Musang-Kuala Krai road, three men were killed while three others, including a woman, were seriously injured.

Gua Musang OCPD Supt Sik Choon Foo identified the three deceased as Nik Razizi, Nik Azmi, and Mohamed Saiful Kamaruzaman, 33. - Bernama
