Three killed, two injured as three vehicles crash in Gua Musang


GUA MUSANG: Three have been killed and two others injured in a three-vehicle crash in Kampung Paloh on Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai here.

Gua Musang Fire and Rescue Department chief Nor Azizi Che Noh said there were six people in the three vehicles involved in the 1pm incident on Tuesday (Jan 13).

He said the department received an emergency call from the police operations room at 1.01pm and dispatched a team that arrived at the scene at 1.43pm, reported Sinar Harian.

"Three male victims were found trapped (in their vehicles) and were later confirmed dead by medical personnel," he said.

He added that two other men and a woman sustained injuries and were administered first aid.

Nor Azizi said the rescue operation involved 11 personnel.

"The operation was carried out with the cooperation of the police and the Health Ministry to ensure the rescue and victim management were conducted smoothly," he said.
