Army man dies after motorcycle crashes into rear of car near PD


PORT DICKSON: A 27-year-old army personnel was killed when he crashed his motorcycle into the rear of a car along KM17.4 of the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway.

District OCPD Supt Maslan Udin said the victim was killed on the spot in the 8.10pm incident on Sunday (Jan 11).

"Preliminary probes revealed that both the 24-year-old driver and the victim were heading towards Seremban when the accident happened.

"After crashing into the right side of the car, the victim slammed into the guardrail," he said in a statement.

Supt Maslan appealed to eyewitnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Mohd Zulhelmi Azman at 016-998 4806 or the nearest police station.

"We are also waiting for toxicology reports as part of our investigation," he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
