Floods: Number of evacuees drops in Johor, Pahang; situation unchanged in Melaka


KUALA LUMPUR: The number of evacuees in Johor and Pahang dropped, while the situation remained the same in Melaka as of 4pm on Tuesday (Dec 30).

In JOHOR, 82 evacuees from 26 families remain at two temporary relief centres (PPS) – Balai Raya Kampung Batu Badak and Dewan Serbaguna Kampung Tasek – compared to 172 people from 58 families in the morning, after five relief centres were closed from 2pm.

Meanwhile, in PAHANG, 81 evacuees from 21 families remain at the Balai Raya Kampung Setajam PPS, a slight drop from 84 people from 23 families earlier in the day.

In Jasin, MELAKA, 36 people from eight families are still being sheltered at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Parit Penghulu. – Bernama
