PUTRAJAYA: A former minister suspected of being linked to corruption relating to billboard projects and land transfers spent more than seven hours giving his statement to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Monday (Dec 29), Sinar Harian reports.
The Malay language daily reported that the individual was seen leaving the MACC headquarters here at around 5:50pm after arriving at about 10:30am for questioning.

According to sources, the investigation also focuses on allegations bribery involving around RM5mil in cash, as well as a luxury supercar believed to have been received from a billboard manufacturing company.
It is understood that the former minister had previously been charged in court over several corruption cases a few years ago and is now back under investigation following new information received by the MACC.
Sources indicate that, based on initial information received by the MACC, the money is believed to have been received from a development company, while the luxury car is alleged to have been given by an advertising company.
Earlier, MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed that an investigation paper has been opened under Section 16 of the MACC Act 2009 regarding the alleged bribery involving the former minister.
"At this stage, no asset seizures or account freezes have been carried out,” he said.
