PAS sec-gen extends Christmas greetings to Malaysian Christians

PETALING JAYA: PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan has extended Christmas greetings to all Malaysians of the Christian faith.

“On the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebrations, PAS extends its Christmas greetings in the hope that it will be a moment to strengthen relationships, renew hope, and reaffirm our commitment to a culture of love and goodwill among all people,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (Dec 24).

Takiyuddin said diversity is a responsibility that must be safeguarded with sincerity and wisdom, regardless of differences in religion and belief, and Malaysians must be united in purpose and aspiration to build a nation that is just, safe, and dignified for all.

“The values upheld during Christmas celebrations, which are love, forgiveness, humility, and service, are shared by all religions and beliefs, including Islam.

“We may not agree on everything, but we can choose to listen, to understand, and to uphold the rights and dignity of everyone who lives under the same Malaysian sky. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas,” he added.
