Comedian Shahrol Shiro completes online diploma

COMEDIAN and entrepreneur Shahrol Shiro is marking a proud new chapter in his life after completing a Professional Diploma in Business and Digital Marketing, reported Harian Metro.

The 41-year-old comic, whose full name is Shahrol Azizie Azmi, juggled between his studies and running his Johor-based business, Ngeport Cabin, as well as a production company.

The journey back to the books was not an easy one. He dropped out of two courses, which he attributed to poor choices and a lack of discipline in his teens.

“I came from an arts stream, but the courses I took needed science subjects I didn’t have. I struggled to keep up and eventually gave up,” he recalled.

This time, the experience was different. Shahrol completed his diploma online last month, squeezing in classes and assignments between work and family commitments.

> When his wife admitted that she did not want to get pregnant because she was afraid of its effects on her body, Abid (not his real name) realised their marriage was no longer built on the same dreams and eventually chose to end it, reported Kosmo!.

Abid met his first wife – a beauty queen during her university days – at a bank in Kuala Lumpur where they both worked.

From the start, she was disciplined about her health and appearance.

“I understood her routine, but I wanted to be a father.

“She told me I could marry someone else or we could separate if I couldn’t wait,” he said.

Nearly seven years after their divorce, Abid, a senior finance executive is now a father of four from his second marriage.
