PUTRAJAYA: A comprehensive study will be conducted to enhance national health personnel mobilisation.
In a statement yesterday, the Health Ministry said the study would analyse the impact of the mobilisation programme and evaluate its feasibility going forward.
“The Health Ministry is always committed to implementing continuous improvements to provide the best healthcare service delivery to the people, especially at health facilities.”
The ministry noted that this aligns with the government’s agenda to democratise services, as stated by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azr Abu Bakar, who said the government is strengthening public services delivery by redeploying medical officers and police personnel to areas of greater need.
On Dec 7, at the National Convention for Public Service Reform, he was reported to have said that 380 medical officers were involved in the mobilisation implementation at the headquarters and health facility levels.
Besides the scheme for medical officers, mobilisation also involves nurses and medical assistants, Bernama reported.
