Sabah polls outcome among key highlights at PKR special meeting, says Fahmi

PUTRAJAYA: Post-Sabah election developments were among the key highlights of the PKR Central Leadership Council (MPP) special meeting held on Monday (Dec 8).

PKR information chief Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said initial post-mortem findings of the 17th Sabah election were presented and discussed by the MPP at Seri Perdana here.

“The meeting also involved discussions on issues related to the performance of seats contested by PKR and Pakatan Harapan.

“The process of gathering views and findings will continue for follow-up actions to be reviewed at the next MPP meeting,” the government spokesman said in a statement on Monday.

In the state polls in November, PKR contested 12 seats and only won the Melalap seat by Datuk Jamawi Ja’afar, while Pakatan contested 23 seats and had no wins from other coalitions.

Fahmi added that the special MPP meeting, which began at 5pm, also received a briefing from Prime Minister and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The almost two-hour briefing, he said, covered recent economic measures, including the increase in the e-invoice threshold and faster repayment of excess tax.
