PUTRAJAYA: Graft busters have gathered multiple forms of recordings, including officer-recorded video captures and body-worn camera footage, to refute allegations of misconduct during their raid on businessman Albert Tei's home, says Tan Sri Azam Baki.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner said the evidence was obtained in accordance with the law.
"Our officers were equipped with various recording tools, and everything was documented.
"We have CCTV footage from the house, and all of it has been handed to the police," he told reporters at the MACC headquarters on Wednesday (Dec 3).
Azam said the recordings would rebut all allegations made.
Azam previously refuted claims that its officers pointed a weapon at the head of businessman Tei during his arrest, and the commission officers have logged a police report.
He also refuted allegations that MACC had confiscated Tei's valuable belongings without his knowledge, as Tei’s wife claimed.
Azam said the list of seized items had been handed to Tei on the day of his arrest, and he personally signed the document.
Several items, including mobile phones, an iPad, and a digital video recorder, were seized as evidence in the ongoing investigation.
