ARTIFICIAL intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping the future of education, changing not only how students learn but also how educators teach, engage and support learning in the classroom.
Recognising the growing role of digital technologies in preparing future talent, Malaysia has increasingly embraced AI and digital learning as key enablers of the nation’s education and talent development agenda.
As a technology partner and key industry player, Samsung Malaysia Electronics is leveraging its innovation ecosystem to support educators and students through integrated AI-powered solutions designed specifically for education.
A key advantage of these solutions lies in their accessibility. With Galaxy AI built directly into Samsung devices, including Galaxy Tab used in the classroom, students and teachers can immediately access intelligent features for learning, creativity and knowledge-building without the need to download additional applications or rely on external platforms. By removing barriers to adoption, AI becomes more intuitive, inclusive and readily available to enhance everyday learning experiences.
As AI continues to become an integral part of education, the focus is no longer simply on introducing new technology, but on empowering people to unlock their full potential through it.
A vision for nation-building
Samsung Malaysia Electronics has long recognised its role in fostering a resilient and competitive nation by providing educators and students with cutting-edge tools.
This long-term commitment emphasises that modern learning is an ecosystem where technology operates as a catalyst for human potential.
“As Malaysia prepares for the future of AI and digital transformation, empowering students with access to technology and digital learning opportunities is essential in building a resilient and competitive nation,” says Samsung Malaysia Electronics president Charles Kim.

“Samsung has continuously supported Malaysia’s education journey for years from enabling access to devices through a government initiative to now building fully integrated AI-Powered Classrooms for students and educators.
“Through these efforts, we hope to inspire the next generation of Malaysians to learn, create and innovate with confidence.”
The educator's perspective
The impact of this educational transformation is most evident at SMK Nilai Impian, where educators are seeing its benefits in the classroom firsthand.
“As an educator with more than 20 years of teaching experience, I have always believed that science should be hands-on, minds-on and hearts-on. One of the biggest challenges in teaching science is helping students truly visualise complex concepts and systems, something that traditional textbooks alone cannot always achieve,” says science teacher Farah Faizura Ahmad Rostam.
Farah Faizura shares: “Through the AI-Powered Classroom and the Galaxy Tab, students are now able to experience lessons in a far more interactive and engaging way.
“More importantly, it has made learning more enjoyable for students by transforming what was once a purely textbook-based experience into something immersive, dynamic and meaningful,” she adds.

Her colleague, Selvina Sandiawo, who brings eight years of classroom experience, notes a similar positive shift in student interaction: “The Galaxy Tab has been incredibly helpful in designing more engaging questions and delivering interactive lessons that encourage stronger two-way communication in the classroom, making students more involved and responsive during discussions.
“Having access to a wide range of digital tools also allows us to teach subjects in a more visual, immersive and comprehensive way, helping students better understand complex concepts, while the seamless ecosystem connectivity, especially with the digital whiteboard, creates a smoother and more effective teaching experience overall.”
The student experience
For the youth, the digital shift brings both cognitive clarity and daily convenience. Nurhani
Sumayyah Azmal, a Form 3 student at the same school, shares her enthusiasm for the modern setup:
“I enjoy learning science subjects in the AI-Powered Classroom because AI helps make complex topics easier to understand and more engaging during lessons.
“Using the Galaxy Tab also makes it much easier to follow along in class, while reducing the need to carry heavy textbooks every day.
“With AI, we are able to explore answers on our own and better understand difficult concepts through personalised explanations that support the way we learn. It has also made note-taking more convenient and efficient, helping us stay more focused during class.”
Classmate Aveenessh Ramalinggam agrees, pointing out how much more approachable complex subjects have become:
“With the Galaxy Tab, lessons have become much more fun, engaging and interactive, making it easier for us to stay focused and understand what we are learning in class.
“It has also helped reduce the number of heavy textbooks we need to carry every day, making learning more convenient and accessible.
“The virtual and interactive features on the Galaxy Tab are especially helpful for subjects like
Mathematics and Science, as they allow us to better visualise complex concepts and understand topics that would normally feel difficult or confusing when learning through textbooks alone.”
Digital empowerment
Samsung envisions a digital and inclusive future for education by equipping educators and students with innovative technology.

For today’s digital generation, learning must be interactive, personalised and engaging. Samsung’s connected ecosystem and AI-powered solutions transform traditional classrooms into immersive learning environments, making complex concepts easier to understand while encouraging greater collaboration and participation.
Teachers remain central to this transformation. With Galaxy AI, educators can streamline lesson planning, content organisation and administrative tasks, giving them more time to focus on meaningful student engagement and creative teaching.
Aligned with Malaysia’s digital transformation agenda, Samsung’s education initiatives foster digital literacy, critical thinking, collaboration and AI readiness. Programmes such as the AI Classroom also expand access to technology and learning opportunities for communities nationwide.
Recognising that education extends beyond the classroom, Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem provides seamless access to educational resources anytime, anywhere, supporting self-directed study, collaboration and productivity across different environments.
From early childhood to higher education, Samsung offers adaptable solutions that evolve alongside every learner. By encouraging creativity, innovation and problem-solving, its technology helps build the digital confidence and future-ready skills students need to thrive in an increasingly connected world.
