Hajiji unveils new Sabah Cabinet line-up


KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor announced his Cabinet members following their swearing- in by Governor Tun Musa Aman at Istana Kinabalu here on Monday (Dec 1).

Hajiji, who was sworn in as Chief Minister on Sunday (Nov 30), has broadened his Gabungan Rakyat Sabah-Pakatan Harapan coalition government to include Sabah Barisan Nasional -Umno and Upko in his Cabinet, retaining four Cabinet members and bringing in six new faces.

Some of the ministries have been broadened and renamed to focus on his government's added focus and priorities especially on utilities, transport and youth economic development.

The following are the Cabinet members:

1. Deputy Chief Minister I

Works and Utilities Minister

Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam (GRS-Parti Bersatu Sabah).

2. Deputy Chief Minister II

Finance Minister

Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (GRS-Gagasan Rakyat).

3. Deputy Chief Minister III

Industrial, Entrepreneur and Transport Minister

Datuk Ewon Benedick (Upko)

4. Local Government and Housing Minister

Datuk Mohd Arifin Mohd.Arif (GRS-Gagasan Rakyat)

5. Youth and Sports Development and Creative Economy Ministry

Datuk Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan (GRS-Gagasan Rakyat)

6. Rural Development Minister

Datuk Rubin Balang (GRS- Gagasan Rakyat).

7. Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry Minister

Datuk Jamawi Jaafar (Pakatan Harapan-PKR)

8. Women, Health and People's Wellbeing Minister

Datuk Julita Majungki (GRS-PBS)

9. Education, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister

Datuk James Ratib (GRS-Gagasan Rakyat)

10. Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister
