JYP Entertainment, the management agency for South Korean K-pop group Twice, has announced that member Chaeyoung will miss several concerts due to health reasons, Oriental Daily reported.

This follows her earlier absence from the group’s Malaysia stop last month, also due to health issues. The statement confirmed that Chaeyoung was diagnosed with vasovagal syncope, a condition that occurs when specific triggers cause the heart rate to slow and blood pressure to drop, leading to fainting.

All of Chaeyoung’s activities, including upcoming tour stops in Kaohsiung, Hong Kong and Bangkok will be put on hold until year end. The agency added that she is upset by her current health status, and that she apologised to all the fans for any inconvenience caused.

> TVB general manager Eric Tsang has denied stepping down from his role at the TVB Anniversary Gala, ending widespread rumours that he would leave his post, Sin Chew Daily reported.

He said he would continue in his current role.

Asked if he had ever considered leaving TVB, he said, “It’s a misunderstanding. It probably came from the last time I was at a Jockey Club event and people asked me about it.
