ACTOR Sahronizam Noor has had his second surgery postponed after doctors found signs that cancer cells may have spread to his lungs, according to his wife, singer and actress Safura Yaacob.

Safura, 53, said Sahronizam had been warded and was initially scheduled to undergo a second operation on Monday following a repeat CT scan.

“After the scan, doctors found a small spread to the lungs. We have already purchased medical equipment worth more than RM700 for the surgery, but the doctors informed us the operation may need to be postponed,” she said, Sinar Harian reported.

Despite battling stage three chondrosarcoma, or cartilage cancer, she said her husband remained strong and positive.

“The doctors said the cancer is very aggressive. Part of his shoulder blade had to be removed to prevent it from spreading further,” she said.

Sahronizam was diagnosed with stage three cartilage cancer last year after suffering back pain and underwent surgery to remove a tumour in October.
