KLIA hit by water leaks


PUTRAJAYA: Storm-related water leakages have hit several parts of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1.

Confirming this yesterday, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) said its engineering, operations and safety teams were mobilised to manage the situation, with passenger safety, containment efforts and protection of electrical systems being prioritised.

In a statement, MAHB said it communicated with its airline partners to minimise any operational impact, Bernama reported. With extreme weather expected to continue till the evening, it said enhanced monitoring measures were in place.
