A VIRAL video showing a man defecating in a corner of Nanning Metro’s Line 3 in Guangxi has sparked widespread discussion among Chinese social media users, Guang Ming Daily reported.

The location has since become a popular “check-in spot”, with some visitors even lining up to imitate the scene for photos.

Some people criticised the act as highly uncivilised, while others questioned how an internal surveillance video could have been leaked online.

Nanning Rail Transit said the footage was authentic and that the incident took place on Nov 11, adding that the matter is being investigated.

> Actress Jessica Hsuan, 55, has joined the trend by opening a Threads account, Sin Chew Daily reported.

She posted the message: “Pure friendship. Not what you are all thinking” on Thursday.

The post immediately sparked rumours, with social media users speculating the “pure friendship” referred to 55-year-old Hong Kong actor Louis Koo.

When asked whether she would invite Koo to join the platform, the actress replied: “He wouldn’t play it even in his next life.”

Since collaborating on TVB’s Class of Distinction drama series in 1994, the two have been seen as an iconic “on-screen couple”.

They remain close friends despite rumours of them being linked romantically.

Koo made a surprise appearance at the finale gathering of Hsuan’s recent TVB drama The Queen of Castle recently, becoming the star of the night.
