Sabah polls: Four GRS candidates not named as they couldn't attend announcement, says Hajiji

KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) has not named the candidates for four seats because they could not attend Wednesday’s (Nov 12) announcement, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor (pic).

The GRS chairman said the reason was a simple one, and there were no issues with seat allocations.

He did not name the seats, but said the allocations were for GRS.

Hajiji, who is defending his Sulaman seat, urged all members to help the coalition's candidates achieve victory.

He also called on the candidates to do their best and focus on serving the people.

"We must strengthen our party and coalition. (We have to) unite and work together, and have this spirit right up to election day," he said.

Hajiji said that for the Nov 29 state election, 35% of the candidates were new faces, but he is confident they can bring the coalition victory.

Of the 51 candidates named on Wednesday, 28 are incumbents.
