Tiger seen swimming across Royal Belum lake in viral video

PETALING JAYA: A video showing a tiger swimming across a lake at the Royal Belum State Park in Perak has gone viral on social media.

In the 37-second clip shared by the Perak State Park Corporation, rangers can be heard expressing excitement as the tiger swims gracefully across the water.

“Our patrollers could not contain their excitement upon witnessing a majestic tiger swimming gracefully across the lake,” the corporation said in a statement on Nov 1.

“More than 120 full time rangers and patrollers work tirelessly to protect the rich wildlife of Royal Belum State Park,” it also said.

The corporation added that the conservation effort was made possible through close collaboration with various agencies and non governmental organisations.

Partners include Perhilitan, WWF-Malaysia, Rimau and Yayasan Sime Darby, alongside local communities.
